Thai Hernia Society
Welcome to Thailand
On behalf of the Thai Hernia Society, it is our privilege to host the 22nd Annual International Congress of the Asia Pacific Hernia Society in September 2027.
Hernia and abdominal wall surgery in the Asia-Pacific has matured from technique adoption into a region that generates its own evidence. Our patients differ — in body habitus, in anatomy, in health-system context — and the answers we import do not always transfer. APHS 2027 is built around that reality: rigorous science, transparent outcomes, honest discussion of complications, and structured hands-on training for the surgeons who will carry this field forward.
You can expect a programme covering the full spectrum of groin and ventral hernia repair — TEP, TAPP, eTEP, IPOM/IPOM+, robotic approaches and complex abdominal wall reconstruction — alongside registry science, mesh and device evidence, and the training pathways our region needs.
We look forward to welcoming you to Thailand.
